Lost Transmissions - Sounds plucked from the shortwave ether, phrases coaxed from vintage synthesizers, voices dragged through battered effect pedals and home sliced tape loops. Six pieces of sound composed from recordings captured over three decades, rescued from fraying cassettes and reassembled for the here and now. Disembodied voices from the past, possibly even voices of the passed over, collide with walls of cold noise, hiss and analogue warmth. Three of the tracks assemble under the banner of 'Hope', though the optimism is buried deep. The final three cuts are disconnected, distressed, disenchanted and are collectively presented 'Dis-pair'.

Futile Escapist Front is an extension of UK electronic punk act Flesh Eating Foundation. There is a substantial archive of Futile recordings, this is the first of a number of releases bringing this material out of the dark. Available as very limited digipack CDr and neon green cassette. As usual, a not for profit release, just costs covered.
