This is the 2024 version of 'Laughter', an evolution of two historic incarnations that went before it. This is Laughter with wisdom, bitterness and regret. This is the sound of FEF here and now. Listen to the other two versions on this EP to hear the band three decades ago, with very little equipment, most of which malfunctioned in some way, and then a decade later the track was expanded both sonically and lyrically. The 2024 rework has elements of both but is an entirely different beast.
